Developing Your Hostess Plan Developing your hostess plan is a very important in the success of your business. You want to make sure that it is appealing to your clients and the women who you meet at your spa but you also need to make sure that it is affordable for you. You want to be making the most profit possible but also need to remember to give a little to receive. If you are offering a hostess program that will interest many women in wanting to have a spa with you, you will have many more spa's on your calender - in return will be making a lot more money. So if making $10 less at a spa means you will have 8 spa's that month vs. 2 it make sense, right! So here are my suggestions to consider when developing your hostess plan. 1) There is an outline on the hostess envelopes that I suggest you start with when developing your plan: - This outline breaks down for the hostess what her rewards will be in free products as a result of the sales and bookings from her spa. -It also states she gets 40% savings on our spa-quality skin care maintenance set. I offer this to the hostess either when she books her spa or at her spa (it's her choice when she takes advantage of it but I do everything I can to get her on the skin care before her spa). If you can get her using the skin care before her spa then you will have her testimony to share with all her guests and she will sell the skin care sets for you! Another reward that is always given to every hostess no matter what is our soothing spa neckwrap. This is your thank you gift to her for inviting you into her home and introducing you to her family and friends to share your business with. This is a great way to open your spa, start by thanking the hostess for inviting all of her friends and family into her home for a night of relaxation and pampering. Pass a second warm neck wrap around the room letting everyone feel and smell it (tease them with it) so they want one of their own. As an option you can have the guests say something nice about the hostess as they pass it around the room, or say their biggest stress that they are there "Escaping" from, or give positive advise to brides-to-be and new-mommies, etc. use your imagination! Don't forget to let the guests know that this is one of the fabulous gifts that they will receive just for being a hostess! 2) Give your hostess a gift at the time she books her spa with you. This can be something as simple and inexpensive as a single mini size product. During slow times or a promotion you may want to offer a full mini set or a spa express starter kit. For nights that you really want (NEED) to get booked that are with-in the next two weeks we call these HOT DATES! For a hot date you will want to offer something even better! You have many options with this. You can offer a gift certificate for them for $25 - $50 (costing you only $12.50 - $25.00) in free additional products at their spa if they have a minimum of six guests there. You can buy products when they are on sale so that you can offer them a set for EX. Margarita Foot Scrub and Foot Cream (costing you only about $12.50 for the set if you got them on sale) or Spa Sugar Lotion and Body Wash or body scrub (costing you around $11.50 on sale for two of the three) or you can do a Microderm Abrasion set which Always gets your date filled and when on sale you can get for about ($25 your cost)! Remember when I said we have to give in order to receive? Well by giving a little more than normal you are out making money on a night you would have just been sitting home, you are being introduced to whole new group of clients, you will be getting future booking to fill your calender so you are not always having to offer these hot date specials, and you are meeting potential recruits. 3) Gift for holding on the original scheduled date: This is very important in keeping your business going and preventing your hostesses from canceling or rescheduling on you. Make sure that your hostess knows that this is your "JOB" and source of income for your family and that you only hold so many spa's per week and you NEED to make sure that this spa holds! It is important that the gift that you offer for a "Holding Gift" is something that the hostess really wants or will enjoy. Something that will make her think twice if she thinks about rescheduling. You can use gifts like a Spa Express Starter Kit, a Spa C.D., make-up brushes, products, spa socks w/foot creme, massage oil w/back massagers, 1/2 off any item, whatever you choose. You cannot afford cancellations so it is worth every penny to make sure that they hold! 4) Microderm Abrasion and Vitamin C Facial : This is a special treatment that is offered to the hostess ONLY! This is a great way to introduce the Microderm Abrasion and the Cell Block C. This will help to increase your sales as the hostess tells all the guests how great her skin feels! I always let my guest know that if they were to go to a spa and have these same two treatments done it would cost them a minimum of $175. Many women will schedule just so they can have this special treatment done. The Four things listed above I believe are a must to incorporate into your hostess plan from the start in order to be successful. Following are some OPTIONAL things that you can offer if you choose to do so. Also remember that this is your business and you can change your hostess plan as you see fit, if something isn't working for you change it. If you need to work up to a better hostess plan by offering the following things as you get more established that's fine too: 5) A product gift : for having $100 in outside orders before your Spa Escape from women that she invited that were unable to attend. Let her know ahead of time that you will be closing her spa out that night so she needs to get all orders prior to her spa. You can pick a product from her wish list, or have a set gift that you give to everyone who gets $100 in outside orders. I personally use the motorized head massager's. I have found that everyone loves them! I have had women book there spa just so they can get that head massager. I purchase them in bulk so I can get them for $7.50 each, and I extend that price to everyone on my team and you can purchase them from me if you choose to use them. These same head massager's sell for $32 in the mall and on-line so we and our hostesses are getting a great deal! Obviously don't tell her what you paid for it. And NEVER sell the head massager's!!!!!!! You may make a little money doing that but it will COST YOU a lot of business!!!!! 6) FREE Instant Manicure Show of Hands: When the hostess gets two future spa's booked for you before her spa then she will receive this as thank you gift from you! 7) 50% OFF any additional item of the hostesses choice: With 8 or more guests. 8) 50% OFF any additional item when her spa sales reach $250 Make sure that you let your hostess know that the sales goal for her Spa is $500. When her sales reach $500 and she has two bookings she will earn $100 in FREE PRODUCTS (that's 20% of sales) Plus all the gifts that she will receive. |
